In the last few months, LeChat has become one of my go-to brands of nail lacquer. I’ve reviewed a few of their collections in the past ([here] and [here]) – and spoiler alert: I was super impressed! The new Perfect Match Exposed Collection is no exception. This six-piece neutrals collection is classic and understated. Absolutely gorgeous. Like all LeChat shades, these are available in both Dare to Wear Nail Lacquer and Perfect Match Soak Off Gel Polish. I set out to find my perfect neutral polish and use it in a fun nail art manicure. Let’s take a look at that journey…!
I started by switching all six shades (in the traditional Dare to Wear Nail Lacquer formula). I just did quick one finger swatches so you could see how the polishes compare. They are all really nice “crelly” formulas (a cross between a creme and a jelly). They’re sheer in one coat, but smooth out and build nicely in two coats. Personally, I think this is the perfect finish for these kinds of shades.

6 Dare to Wear Cocoa Kisses
As you can see, whether you prefer peach-, pink-, or brown-toned neutrals, the Exposed Collection has something for you. I also want to remind you that LeChat offers these great shades in two formulas. The Dare to Wear Nail Lacquer formula is available for purchase on their website to consumers. The Perfect Match LED & UV Cured Gel Polish formula is available to professionals only – and comes in a great little boxed set with the matching Dare to Wear polish.
In my experience, the Perfect Match gel polishes are great and match up with the Dare to Wear shades identically. I also really like the Dare to Wear Base Coat and Top Coat, which I used in the above swatches!
So I decided to chose my favorite and create some nail art that I could wear for a few days (I’m trying to limit my switching and polish/remover exposure since I’m pregnant). It was an easy choice for me: Dare to Wear Babydoll is gorgeous and absolutely flawless in two coats. Then I added an accent of Dare to Wear Mesmerize from the Metallux Collection and sealed everything in with Dr. Dana 9-Free Quick Dry Top Coat.
These pictures really don’t do this manicure justice – the multichromatic effect of Mesmerize is such a fun contrast to the soft neutral Babydoll. I’ve worn the manicure for over a week and I’ve loved every second. Have you tried any of LeChat’s polishes? I’m so impressed with their offerings!
