In the last several months, I’ve really been off my blogging game. Between the pregnancy, my mental health, and getting ready to move, I’ve been all over the place with my time and inspiration. I have lots of ideas, but it’s been hard to turn them into reality lately. Sooooo, I thought I’d get back to basics to try to get the juices flowing again. This super simple manicure plays with a funky color combo and a classic polka dot motif.
The base of this manicure is the ORIGINAL Sally Hansen Pacific Blue – a flawless blue creme (Sally Hansen reformulated Pacific Blue into a darker, sparklier shade that is less awesome a few years ago). I did my dots in China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy (another cult favorite that was reformulated to be less awesome…I believe I have the newest version). I love the contrast!! I sealed everything in with Dare to Wear Top Coat, which played nicely with the dots – no smearing.
Dots are so simple and whimsical – but always looks awesome. This is a big reminder that I don’t have to do something wild and crazy to have a manicure that is fun to wear with a big visual pay-off. In my opinion, basics are usually best!
