No matter where you find yourself in your nail-polish-obsession-journey (you all know what I’m talking about!), chances are you are intrigued by multichromatic polishes. I’m six years into my obsession, already have tons of duochromes and multichromes in my stash, but I still can’t say no to new ones. The Perfect Match Metallux Collection takes it all one step further, combing LeChat Perfect Match soak-off gel polish with LeChat Dare to Wear Nail Lacquer – each shade comes in each formulation in a convenient duo-pack. The thought of multichromatic gel polishes really excites me! Let’s take a look at this six-shade collection!
For this post, I have swatched the Dare to Wear Nail Lacquers with Dare to Wear Base Coat and Top Coats. This is (obviously) easier on my nails than swatching a ton of gel polishes, but I have a nail wheel comparison at the end of the post to show you that the gel polishes and traditional lacquers are basically identical in finish and multichromatic effect. I’ve been really impressed with the LeChat collections I’ve swatched – the gel and polish formulations are always spot-on.
Dare to Wear Eternal is a metallic duochrome that shifts from a coppery-orange to a burgundy-pink. Very pretty and as you can see, the duochrome effect is strong! This is two coats.
Dare to Wear Hypnotic shifts from blueish-purple to teal, and at extreme angles, you’ll even see some green flashes. You’ll want to be cautious with application, just so that your brushstrokes are even. This is two coats.
Dare to Wear Infinity is a bold golden green. There’s not quite as much of a multichromatic effect with this one, but it really glows on the nail! Again, this is two coats.
In my opinion, Dare to Wear Mesmerize is the star of the show here! Less brushstroke-y and more shimmery, this beauty shifts from green to gold to orange/copper to bold magenta pink. Wooooo so gorgeous! This is two easy coats.
Dare to Wear Mystique is a metallic duochrome that shifts from blue to purple. Pretty basic, but gorgeous if you love deep blues! This is two easy coats.
Finally, Dare to Wear Paradox shifts from red-orange to pink to a deep purple. This is really gorgeous in a vampy way! Two coats.
The below image shows side-by-side swatches of the traditional nail lacquers (marked with little dots) and the soak-off gel lacquers. As you can see, the polishes match up in color and finish! Lovely.
This is the third time I have reviewed LeChat products (you can read my previous reviews [here] and [here]), and I have been super impressed every time. If you love multichromes, or are looking for gel polishes in my interesting finishes, you need to check out LeChat’s products!
