Lately, I’ve been wearing manicures for longer periods of time – on average, four or five days, but sometimes even longer. When I chose nail art, I want it to be something that I enjoy, I won’t get sick of, and that, hopefully, I can do on both hands! I’ve seen a lot of great abstract dry brush manis lately, and was really into [this look] by @so_nailicious. With a little tweaking, I made it my own!
I started with a base of KBShimmer Eyes White Open – my favorite white. Once that dried, I dry brushed on strokes of Dare to Wear Peach Blast and Dare to Wear Hi-Voltage, both from the LeChat Retro Remix Collection for Summer 2017! I added a few dots in KBShimmer Eclipse and some gold flakes with Zoya Gilty – an old classic! I sealed everything in with Dr. Dana 9-Free Quick Dry Top Coat.
I really love how this manicure turned out and I wore it on all ten nails for over a week. Let’s talk about Dr. Dana 9-Free Quick Dry Top Coat, shall we?! Now, top coats wear differently on everyone. We all have different chemistries, application techniques, and lifestyles. This top coat is free of all the nasties and it wears juuuuuuust as well as my beloved 2-free KBShimmer Clearly On Top! Now, I love Clearly On Top, but now that I’m pregnant, I can’t use it since it contains toluene, so I am thrilled to have found something that works so well! Way to go, Dr. Dana! Like I said – I wore this for a full seven days with nothing but tip wear. A few chips showed up on the corners on my dominant hand on Day 8. And it was shiny the entire time – no dullness of scuffs. I am so impressed❤️
