Every once in a while, it’s great to treat ourselves to a bit of luxury, right?! LVX Nail Lacquer is 7-free (no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, toluene, camphor, xylene, or parabens). LVX is also TPHP-free, gluten-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the USA! At $18 a bottle, you’d expect this fabulous list of characteristics, but how do the formulas and colors hold up? Let’s take a look at the LVX Spring Summer 2017 Collection!
All swatches done with CND Stickey base coat and INM Out the Door top coat.
First up is LVX Argonne, a trendy khaki green. This is a classic shade, and I absolutely love it along side the bright pink shades that are always so popular for summer. This is two super creamy coats (the best formula of the bunch, by far!).
LVX Camellia is the perfect bubble gum pink. A little streaky at first, it evens out nicely in two coats.
If you’re a spring or summer bride, LVX Coquillage may be the perfect shade for your big day! This is a beautiful, soft, super-pale pink. I used three coats for this swatch to smooth out a few streaks.
LVX Schiaparelli is a vibrant pink crelly – I loooove this squishy formula! This is two easy coats.
LVX Seychelle is a mint green creme. Super trendy for spring! The formula on this one was a bit streaky, but it evened out in three coats with top coat.
Finally, we have LVX Reine, a gorgeous purple crelly. This color is vibrant and bold and the formula is shiny and squishy. This is two easy coats. I wore this one for a few days after swatching and received way more complements than I normally would when wearing a basic creme polish!
While there’s nothing groundbreaking here, beautiful warm weather cremes are right up my alley, so I love this set! LVX lacquers are $18 each – the ingredients and luxurious packaging are fabulous, but I would expect flawless formulas at that price point…Argonne and Schiaparelli are great formula-wise, but the others required either a third coat or a careful hand. I absolutely love the fashion-inspired color selection though! If you’re in the market for 7-free vegan lacquer, definitely check out the LVX Spring Summer 2017 Collection!
